Forthcoming Projects

Val is hoping to write a book about some of the star plants of recent RHS Trials and the idea is to record the developments in different groups of plants. Sedums, for instance, have changed dramatically due to the arrival of dark-leaved forms like 'Purple Emperor'. Hardy geraniums have been transformed by several long-flowering sterile hybrids -like 'Patricia' and 'Rozanne'.

She is also planning on writing a book about her new garden 'Spring Cottage' and this will concentrate on growing fruit and vegetables - and keeping chickens.
